The Dunstable Fire Department is dedicated to improving their firefighting skills through training events held by the department. Firefighting personnel participate in department training every month in all areas of the job, including Ice Rescues, Auto Extrication, and much more. The majority of training is conducted at the Dunstable Fire Station and often done at the Nashua Fire Department Training Ground.
We as a department continue to improve and learn about fire services to uphold the best practices in keeping residents and our community safe. All members of Dunstable fire and neighboring departments are welcome to participate. Training is typically conducted by a senior member of the department. A headcount is taken ahead of training for members who wish to attend, but training is not mandatory as we understand some members may not be able to attend. Joint training is also done with members of both the Pepperell and Groton Fire Departments.
All training is in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association.
